Napo Wildlife Center – AMAZON WILDLIFE TOURS
Located in the heart of the Yasuní National Park, a UNESCO a Biosphere Reserve, the Napo Wildlife Center provides visitors with great opportunities to explore the treasures hided in the sacred lands of the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador.
One of the particularities of this hotel is that it is 100% managed by the Kichwa Añangu community, making it the greatest example of a community-based project that benefits the local community and preserves the diverse flora and fauna of the area.
In a privileged area considered one of the most diverse regions in the entire World, the Napo Wildlife Center is the result of the local community efforts to preserve its culture and the sacred lands and inhabitants surrounding its community. This project started operations for the first time in 2003 and since then it welcomes hundreds of tourists every year.
With 12 huge exclusive cabins and a capacity for 36 people, the Napo Wildlife Center complex offers the most comfortable accommodations of the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador and unique opportunities explore the treasures hidden in the forests and creeks of the jungle.
With 12 ample and comfortable standard cabins and 8 suites, the lodge accommodates up to 50 people, distributed in suites, doubles and triple rooms.
All rooms at the lodge include:

Activities & Attractions
Walk and hike along the community surrounding trails of terra firme and swamp forest. There are great changes for you to see a great variety of wildlife such as insects, birds, reptiles and mammals. Some typical animals you may see in the jungle are: anacondas and other snakes, spiders, insects, birds such as hoatzins, macaws, toucans, parakeets, parrots; monkeys, tapirs, ocelots, etc. Prepare you cameras and video cameras to capture stunning landings and uniqueness creatures.
Explore the black waters of the Anangu Lake and the Napo River creeks on board motorized or paddle-canoes! The rivers, creeks and lakes of the Amazon jungle are one of hundreds of different aquatic animals such as fish, caimans, turtles, piranhas and giant otters.
Learn about the Kichwa Anangu community traditions and culture in the Interpretative Centre located in the welcoming area of the Napo Wildlife Center. Women of the community welcome you with typical dances and rituals, food and drinks.
Canopy Observation Tower
Get a close up view of the jungle and its diverse flora and fauna. This 36 meters observation tower was built just next to a huge Kapok tree and it offers you the best view of the Amazon Rainforest. Observe flocks of colorful birds flying just before your eyes and the magnificence of the trees, flowers and nature the Amazonia gives us.
Parrot Clay Licks
Parrot clay licks are the most stunning nature spectacles you will have the opportunity to see in the Amazonia. These are natural banks containing a great amount of minerals birds and different animals feed up with. The spectacle starts early in the morning and late in the afternoon when hundreds of vibrantly colored birds visit the licks.
